Malaysia Airlines Makes WiFi Free In All Classes

Since November 1, Malaysia Airlines has offered free inflight WiFi to all passengers, regardless of cabin

class or loyalty tier. Malaysia Airlines will first offer the service on six Airbus A350-900s, five A330-200s, and nine A330-300s.

Free WiFi will be expanded to the airline's narrowbody fleet. The oneworld member's narrowbody fleet includes mostly 42 Boeing 737-

800s, with an average age of 10.9 years, according to ch-aviation. The carrier's 25 737 MAX 8s will join them soon.

Free WiFi was previously only available to business class and Enrich Platinum members. All other customers had to utilize the airline's pay-per-use WiFi.

Malaysia Airlines will give three- to eight-year-olds reusable Pilot Parker lunchbox sets on World Children's Day, November 1, in addition to free WiFi.

Malaysia Airlines' free WiFi will help it compete with regional carriers who offer a similar service. However, few offer free WiFi without strings.

Singapore Airlines began providing free WiFi to all passengers in July 2023. Premium economy and economy class passengers must join

KrisFlyer to receive the free service. WiFi plans are available to non-members. Emirates launched a similar deal earlier this year, offering free WiFi to Skywards subscribers.
