Southwest Celebrating 50th Year in Service With $50 One-way Flights

Southwest Airlines celebrates its 50th anniversary this year. This winter, the airline is offering $50 one-way trips to celebrate its anniversary.

Travelers can get reduced tickets 21 days in advance until Feb. 8, 2021.

The reduced rates are available for continental U.S. travel Feb. 9–May 26, 2021. Tickets are offered between the continental

U.S. and Hawaii, San Juan, Puerto Rico, and internationally. Those tickets are good Feb. 9–May 20, 2021. Blackout dates apply.

Book weekday flights between Southwest's bases for the greatest discounts, according to Travel Pulse. It identified $100 roundtrip flights

between Atlanta and Nashville, Los Angeles and Las Vegas, Baltimore and Boston, and Orlando and Fort Lauderdale using the airline's Low Fare Calendar.

Los Angeles offers nonstop flights to Las Vegas, Oakland, Phoenix, Reno, Sacramento, and Tucson for $50.

There are no $50 fights from New York. However, they can get $67 to Baltimore and $76 one-way fares nationwide.

Houston to Cancun and Orlando to Montego Bay, Jamaica offer nonstop international flights from $175 and $153, respectively.

Seats and days are limited, so budget travelers should book early. The tickets are non-refundable, but travelers can use the money against future Southwest Airlines
