Taco Bell Is Launching a Birria Taco For the First Time Ever

Taco Bell's updated taco staple elevates its Mexican-inspired menu.

Yum! Brands announced on Aug. 3 the nationwide launching of a Grilled Cheese Dipping Taco.

The chain's first taco with slow-braised shredded beef will melt three cheeses as it's grilled.

Best part? Two dipping sauces—warm nacho cheese and flavorful red—will accompany it. How luxurious!

Quesabirria, a Mexican delicacy made with a tortilla, slow-cooked beef, and melted cheese, inspired the dish.

Some won't find the new release novel. In 2022, Taco Bell tested a birria taco in Minnesota and Tennessee.

This widespread release shows the chain's fans enjoyed the new menu item.

Another hit for Taco Bell's cheesy classics. Taco Bell introduced the Double Steak and Seasoned Beef Grilled Cheese Burritos this year, and in May 2023

The official press announcement says a Grilled Cheese Dipping Taco costs $3.49. Jack On The Go Show paid the same during testing.
